• Massive Spring Crowds: The Cherry Blossom Festival attracts over a million visitors; expect very dense crowds and tightly packed pedestrian pathways around the Tidal Basin.
• Nature is Unpredictable: “Peak bloom” is determined by Mother Nature and changes every year. While the tour runs during the historical blooming season, we cannot guarantee the exact status of the blossoms on your specific tour date.
• Physical Pacing: You will be walking outdoors for approximately 2 hours; a moderate level of physical stamina is required to navigate the crowded pathways.
• Weather Conditions: Spring weather in D.C. fluctuates rapidly from warm and sunny to cold and rainy. The tour operates rain or shine.

• Comfortable Footwear: Flat, highly supportive walking shoes or sneakers are mandatory for comfortably navigating the 2-hour route and the uneven dirt paths near the tree roots.
• Spring Layers: Bring a light jacket or windbreaker, as the morning breeze off the Potomac River and Tidal Basin can be surprisingly chilly at 9:30 AM.
